After reading some post on planetchristmas.com and searching the net, lurking in the plumbing and electrical isle of Home Depot and others. I came up with these.
First we need to gather some parts.
The parts I used here are available from most home centers. The MR-16 bulb came from Target, much cheaper than HomeDepot.
I have a complete list of parts at the end of this page.
In the shop at the drill press.
I drilled three holes centered around the coupler's edge, these holes will be for the screws that hold the light in.
This is before the screws are in place.
Be careful when drilling, I used a 1/16" drill bit, drilled to fast and the bit started to bend and drill out the side.
Drilled a hole for the mounting screw that attaches the conduit hanger. The size of the hole depends on the size screw that you use.
Almost a completed assembly, need to paint them black.
